Privacy policy

Last updated 16 October 2026

The short version: we use your details to answer you and to do the work you ask for. With your consent, we use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to see how the site is used and how our ads perform. We never sell your details, and you can ask us to delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Who we are

Disruptive Dodo Limited is a marketing agency registered in Mauritius (business registration number C25222505). We are responsible for the personal data you share with us through this website, by WhatsApp, by email or by phone, and for the data collected on this site with your consent.

Our data protection officer looks after how we handle personal data. For any question about your data, or to use your rights, write to info@disruptivedodo.mu.

What we collect

When you fill in a form on this site, we receive what you give us: your first name, last name, email address and phone number, and anything else you choose to add, such as your company, what you need and your message. Some of our forms prepare a WhatsApp message instead, which reaches us only when you press send in WhatsApp.

The marketing health check works the same way. Your answers stay in your browser and reach us only if you choose to send your result on WhatsApp.

When you message, email or call us, we keep that conversation and the contact details that come with it. If you send us a job application, we keep what you send.

If you accept cookies, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel record how you use the site: the pages you view, the buttons you click (such as the WhatsApp button), your device and browser, your approximate location, and the ad or link that brought you here. Google and Meta recognise your browser by a cookie, not by your name.

Like every website, our server keeps a short technical log of each visit: your IP address, the page, your browser and the time. We use it only to keep the site running and secure, never to identify you.

Giving us your details is your choice. We need your name and a way to reach you to answer your enquiry; everything else is optional. Accepting cookies is also your choice: if you refuse them, you can still use the whole site.

Why we collect it

  • To answer your enquiry by email, phone or WhatsApp, and prepare your free growth call.
  • To send you a proposal or the information you asked for.
  • To deliver and manage the work if you become a client.
  • To consider your application if you apply to work with us.
  • To see which pages are useful and what to improve, if you accept measurement cookies.
  • To measure our ads and show them to people who have visited the site, if you accept advertising cookies.
  • To keep the site working and secure.

We only use your details for these reasons. We do not sell them, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you ask for them. You can say stop at any time.

Who sees it

Our team, and only the people who need it to help you.

The services we use to run the business, which handle your data on our behalf and only for these purposes: WhatsApp (Meta) for messages, Microsoft 365 for email, OVH for the server that runs this website, our customer management tools for enquiries and client records and, if you become a client, our project tools.

Google and Meta, if you accept their cookies. Google Analytics gives us statistics about visits. The Meta Pixel tells Meta about your visit so that we can measure our ads and show them on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account and uses it under its own privacy policy.

We share data with the authorities only when the law requires it.

Sending data outside Mauritius

Our website server is in Canada, which has its own data protection law. WhatsApp, Microsoft and our customer management tools may store data in other countries. We use them because they are needed to answer your request or to do the work you ask us to do.

Google and Meta process data in several countries, including the United States, where personal data may be less protected than in Mauritius. They receive data from this site only if you accept their cookies, and the cookie banner tells you this before you choose.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Job applications are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Client records are kept for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax purposes.
  • Google Analytics keeps visit data for 14 months, then deletes it.
  • Our lists of site visitors for ads on Meta cover the last 180 days at most. Meta keeps Pixel data under its own policy.
  • The server's visit log is deleted after about two weeks.

How long each cookie lasts is in section 9.

You can ask us to delete your details sooner, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Your rights

Under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017, you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it, or to stop using it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what we did before. For cookies, use the link at the bottom of every page.

To use your rights, write to our data protection officer at info@disruptivedodo.mu. We reply within one month. If a request is complex, we may need one more month, and we will tell you.

You can also complain to the Data Protection Commissioner (Data Protection Office of Mauritius) at any time.

If you live in the European Union, including Réunion, the GDPR gives you these rights and a few more, such as receiving your data in a format you can take to another provider. You can also complain to your local authority, such as the CNIL in France.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means. If you accept advertising cookies, Meta places your browser in a group of recent visitors, so that you may see our ads on Facebook and Instagram. That is the only effect it has on you, and refusing advertising cookies stops it.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept measurement cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel). No measurement or advertising cookies are set until you choose. These cookies send data to Google and Meta, including in the United States (see section 6). You can change your choice at any time with the link at the bottom of every page, or delete cookies in your browser settings.

When the Meta Pixel loads, Meta can also read its own cookies, set on Facebook's domain, under Meta's cookie policy.

Some forms and the marketing health check keep your answers in your browser tab, so you do not lose them while you type. This is not a cookie, and it is erased when you close the tab.

Keeping your data safe

The site runs over a secure connection, access to your data is limited to the people who need it, and we use trusted providers to store it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
